The best place to get personal health coverage for an international student studying nursing?
I am about to enter the Clinical Phase of LPN (License Practical Nurse) programme soon and one of the requirements it that i have personal health coverage.....i am an International student and presently have no health insurance.....i need some guidelines on how to go about getting coverage at a reasonable price...can anyone assist with some serious advice.....much appreciated...thank you.

A reasonable price is $250 a month. You can get this through your school most easily, and cheaper, too. Being an international student, most US health carriers are NOT going to want to cover you.
You ALSO might be able to find it in your country of residence. Or you can ask them if they'll waive it, because you can't find a provider willing to take you.

|||Try in your school. I bought a plan up to $100,000 in coverage for a $50 per months with a $100 per doctor visit. I don't have to say that with $100 per doctor visit, I use it only when I need to but it's better than nothing.
You might look for companies like Humana One or Blue Cross Blue Shield - they have reasonable price and good coverage.
I had an insurance from my home country, but I had to pay the medical bills first and I had to wait couple of months to get reimbursed from my insurance company.
Make sure you ask a lot of questions before you pick your company.
