Health insurance (for student) international coverage?
Hello,
I'm a 19 year old US citizen who plans to go to study outside the USA, to be more specific, I plan on going to France to study in there. However, I would like to know if someone can recommend me a health insurance, since I'm having some difficulties to find one.
Thanks.

healthplans.bebto.com - here is my health insurance plan. As I remember they can provide such a service.
|||France has socialized medicine, but for its citizens. Not for non-citizens. I am not sure if you can be assisted in an emergency room, like the U.S. which by law must care for non-legalized citizens.
You may want to look into travel insurance and see if you qualify. Also look into any insurance offered by the university. The clinic at the university may offer care regardless of citizenship status.
Your best resources will be at the university you are attending. It's smart to be thinking about this ahead of time, and I hope you enjoy your studies in France.
Most universities offer their own policies for students OR they have student health services. Since health care in France is socialized I would assume it would not be a big issue. Just contact the university.
|||Common situation you met like many other people,be patient, and check the resource here http://www.HealthInsuranceIdeas.info i found useful.
|||That is probably going to be tough to find. Can your parents still have you on their insurance since you will still be a student ?
